Care of Your Garments

Materials

♥ All of our items are made with delicate raw silks, cottons, ribbons & laces

• We highly recommend dry-cleaning all of our items after wear to help keep the materials in their original shape, texture and colour

• We do not recommend using water to clean pieces made with silk, as it will affect the colour and texture of the fabric and will cause it to lose its natural sheen

• If you choose to hand wash your cotton items, use a very mild detergent and rinse items well. Keep in mind that water, heat and detergents can affect the shape, texture and colour of the items and materials. Hang garments to dry, but avoid direct sunlight as this can discolour the materials

♥ Silk - As a natural fibre there will be certain variations in shade or weave which are characteristics of the silk.

• When you receive your garment please remove it from its packaging as soon as possible and hang up

• If possible leave it hanging for a couple of days before pressing

• If you do need to press use a medium hot iron

• We recommend you use a pressing cloth in case your iron leaves marks

• After use it’s best to get the garment dry cleaned as soon as possible to reduce the risk of staining. Milk marks can be invisible but can cause damage if left for any length of time.

• Important - Please use a reputable dry cleaner experienced in cleaning wedding gowns.

• It’s best to store the garment in acid free box wrapped in acid free tissue paper, this stops the fabric from discolouring.
